Very unprofessional. Do not know how to handle vulnerable people. Rude and insensitive staff. As someone who struggles to communicate with others due to mental health the call I had was very upsetting.

I just wanted to give some feedback, I think it’s important to give credit where it’s due.
Luke was very friendly, professional and tidy. He respected my carpet by putting shoe covers on. He was kind to my nosey cats. And tidied up when he was done.

I’ve used Compton & Parkinson several times for boiler service and other repairs. Efficient customer services team and very knowledgeable engineers. Invoices have been less than expected so an added bonus!

I had a full central heating system put into my house. Excellent from the beginning. Full list of work and items needed for the job. Workers were polite and informative. Despite pulling up floorboards and what seemed like complete chaos at the time. They left my home clean and in good order, no damage to floor. I have my boiler serviced yearly by this company. I highly recommend Compton and Parkinson.

Poor pressure to washing machine. Was promised an engineer with a call 30 minutes beforehand. Waited in all afternoon and then called them- no answer. Left voicemail. Then suddenly an engineer turns up without calling beforehand.
Straight away was really grumpy.He took a look at the tap that fed the washing machine and said he'd need to get another one - left for an hour and returned. Again very grumpy.
Looked at tap again. Then needed to ask for torch as his torch has run out of battery - and then looked at pipe that fed tap and realised it was gravity fed from tank in loft.
Said it was low pressure and that we'd need to get a new washing machine that allowed for low pressure. Told us that anything other than that would void the warranty - then left.
Have you tried to find a washing machine that works for low pressure? Try it - they don't exist. Just as well as I'd have probably gone and bought one as my mother is extremely ill and we *need* a working washing machine.
I contacted their customer services that night - they said they'd get back to me but didn't.
So, out of desperation, I watched several you-tube videos on plumbing and purchased an olive puller and a new tap from Screwfix.
I pulled the old tap off and was instantly almost DROWNED by the pressure. I replaced the faulty tap and the 10 year old cheapo Beko washing machine worked 100% straight away - we've been washing solidly since. Bliss!
See photo for work I did - and the work the "expert" should have done - you can see the tap I removed at the bottom of the photo and the new one with the blue handle installed. All in it was quite a stressful and time consuming experience for a novice but it had to be done.
A week later their customer services finally came back to me - to simply repeat what the engineer said: That we'd need a new "low pressure" machine. By this time I'd done the work, knew the advice was total rubbish, and sent them the same attached photo, to which I received no reply.
So I felt I had to write this review. This company charges top dollar and for that we can expect a quality, friendly plumber who gives good expert advice and doesn't leave us in the lurch, followed up by caring, responsive customer service in the event that anything goes wrong. Sadly, this organisation failed significantly on all counts. I’d strongly recommend to people they look elsewhere.

I've just had a replacement Mira electric shower fitted by Compton & Parkinson and the service was excellent. The friendly, helpful and efficient office staff worked with me to find the best price and date for the work (and rang me back when they said they would). The plumber was also friendly and efficient. He observed the Covid protocols, fitted the new shower without leaving any exposed holes from the previous shower. He protected surfaces with coverings as necessary and consulted with me where there were options (eg placing the shower head rail, fitting soap dish). The shower was tested and the bathroom left clean and tidy.

Been coming to my housing association property for past 7 years to carry out annual boiler check and also had some private work carried out by them as well. Professional, work to a high standard, leave property clean, very reasonably priced, easy to arrange an appointment. Would highly recommend. Jane, Ely, Cambs

Helpful, Friendly, Efficient and Honest. I've used this company twice and they are professional and efficient. They made appointments for my convenience and arrived on time both times. They carried out the work on both occasions, on time and at or below the quoted rate. Would definitely recommend.

The engineer that came out to see us was a very intelligent and the professional individual. I highly recommend this company as they are honest and get the job done.
We got quoted 150 pounds for a thermostat wiring however Compton and Parkinson did it in a fraction of the price and once again highly recommend.
